We had a great time on our Earth Day hike with the little ones. The kids did GREAT!!! I think we were all surprised and relieved at how well we did. The promise of farm animals at the end definitely helped to keep them going. The trail was just the right length and the kids (the ones that can walk anyway) walked the entire way. We stopped to look at lots of slugs and snails along the way and we even saw a red-headed woodpecker looking for his lunch. Kayla (the 5 year old) was the best tour guide and shared her knowledge of the forest plants and trees with all the little ones (and some of the big ones). Thanks ladies!
